Emma Luong-Van

Emma Luong-Van is Chief Technology Officer at LipoCoat, where she leads the technology and R&D behind the company's biomimetic coating platforms for medical devices. She joined LipoCoat as Senior Researcher in 2021 before stepping into the CTO role in 2023.

Emma holds a PhD in Biomedical Science from the University of Queensland and a Bachelor's degree in Biotechnology from UNSW. Before joining LipoCoat she was a Senior Research Fellow at the National University of Singapore's Centre for Advanced 2D Materials, Business Development Manager at Dornier MedTech, a Biodesign Fellow at Stanford University, and a Research Scientist at Singapore's A*STAR Institute of Materials Research and Engineering.
